I returned home last week from Mallorca to a request from some high up people at work for me to head to Toronto to help out the marketing team for the next three weeks.
I found out on Thursday I would be leaving this Wednesday. Needless to say it’s been a bit of a scramble over this weekend to get everything in line.
I have unpacked and repacked my suitcase, kept my passport on my bedside table, and am quickly Googling all the dumb questions I have about Canada since I’ve never been there….
“Google, will my phone work in Canada?”
“Google, does Canada have different outlets? Will I need a converter?”
“Google, is Canada safe?”
Pretty much all the results lead to some version of “Canada is basically the 51st state, expect people are nicer.”
I will admit, I’m still a bit nervous to be up there alone for so long. The Toronto team I will be working with is really nice, but I know I will get lonely. The boyfriend is coming up to visit the second weekend I’m there, so at least I have that to look forward to!
Have you ever been to Toronto? I need all the recommendations for couple activities when the boyfriend is there, as well as things I can explore, eat and drink while I’m there for three weeks by myself.
P.S. With Irma on the way, I guess it’s a good thing I’m fleeing Florida!
