We may be most of the way through summer already, but I’m sneaking this post in anyways. Plus, I live in Florida so it’s basically summer all year long here!
I have a confession to make, I was too quick to judge A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams the other day. Once I got past my “stuck point” on page 52, I devoured it on the flight home from Switzerland like a piece of cake on my birthday!
I loved (and hated) Lily Dane, the main character, but I was 100% in her corner every step of the way. Don’t worry, no spoilers here!
Oh how simple some things were back in 1938, but then also how much more complicated they were. What could be solved by a text or phone call now, couldn’t be then. What could be solved by true courting and formal relationships then, can’t be now. How people dealt with love, loss, and best friend drama in 1938 was eye opening and humbling.
Pick this book up and read it on the beach, on your couch, on a plane… literally anywhere. I got my copy in my Hello Book Lover subscription box last month, along with an inflatable flamingo cup holder I’m obsessed with!
This book is a crazy love story that will leave you happy hearted in the end :) And hey, isn’t that what we all want out of life?
Some people prefer to throw on a pair of pants and a top for comfort and easy, but I’m the total opposite. Give me a dress any day of the week!
It only took me about 10 seconds to select this SheIn dress online and click ship. Trendy, off the shoulder, lightweight, and only $17.99! It was the easiest decision I’d made all day.
It has become my summer staple for brunches out, lounging around the house, and coffee dates. In summertime, a light and airy dress like this is a requirement.
What have you been reading and wearing this summer?
