When I’m on vacation there’s no filter for what I eat. I’m pretty sure I averaged a bottle of wine, a pound of cheese, and two baguettes a day in Switzerland. Oh and a package of chocolate, too! Yes. Each. Day.
Although we were hiking for 8 hours a day, and it’s not that I came back heavier than I left, I just feel like a slug. My body is ready for some hard workouts and clean eating!
Step 1: Join Equinox.
I’ve been debating this for a while now, but I’m finally going to pull the trigger now that I’m back home! Plus now since I’m employed, I can justify the membership price (since this place isn’t cheap). Not only is it an amazing gym but I’m hoping it will also help me meet new people in the area. Is it weird I’m using a gym to try and make friends??… don’t answer that actually…
Step 2: Bump up my wardrobe.
If you’ve ever been to an Equinox before then you know they are f.a.n.c.y. AKA a whole new wardrobe is needed :) Fitness is part fashion, right? Here are some workout pieces that have caught my eye lately:
No workout post would be complete without sharing my current Instagram obsessions. I’m relying on these three to get me to the gym every morning:
Erin Bailey (@ebailey_fitness): I stumbled across her most recent (and really powerful) blog post and then fell into the amazing rabbit hole that is her Instagram. She is such an inspiration and super relatable!
POPSUGAR Fitness (@popsugarfitness): This follow is a no-brainer! Their handle is filled with a variety of recipes, fitness news, and fun pictures. They are all beautifully curated since, duh, it’s POPSUGAR!
(On an unrelated note, you must give their reading challenge a try!)
Step 4: Go to my first class and get started!
I’m thinking about starting with a cycling class to ease into it all, but would love your suggestions on what the best Equinox classes are to try!
Anyone else pumping up their fitness routine lately?? We can be inspiration buddies, since I’m in desperate need of one!
