Getting boxes delivered is like a mini Christmas morning.
It’s the anticipation as you rip into your package to find whatever’s inside; whether much needed workout socks to replace your old ratty ones, or a not so much needed (purchased after a glass or two of wine) but very cute noise canceling headphones.
Here are my three favorite box deliveries to receive:
1) Lulus, this store makes up 80% of my wardrobe
I’m not sure how I stumbled upon Lulus, but ever since I ordered my first dress from them I’ve never looked back. Not only are their prices affordable and the quality great, but my size is always consistent so I rarely have to make a return! Some of my favorites pieces include this causal mosaic pattern dress, this two piece brunch get-up, and of course this beautiful long formal dress!
Recently I’ve become obsessed with their shoes. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a shoe that has little white pearl beads around the ankles??
2) Hello Book Lover, a monthly book subscription box
By now you know I’m a bookworm. If I’m not reading three books at once then there’s a problem. My best friend started a monthly book subscription box (clear you know why we’re friends) and I’m a very loyal subscriber. She thinks it’s because I love to read and support her business (which is totally true), but one my my other favorite parts about the box are the little extra surprises that come in each. Last month’s box theme was summer lovin’, which included a surprise Baggu tote, sea salt hair spray, a flamingo koosie, and of course this book :) Let me tell you, that koosie has come in handy!
3) Packages from home, nothing beats a care package
I’ll admit, getting a package from home is my #1 favorite because I truly never know what’s inside. It could be cute new mermaid cocktail napkins my mother found, delicious treats from my father that he can’t eat on his diet so he sends me, or the perfect pool floatie wine glass charms from my sister.
This weekend my two best friends from college and I did a girls weekend in Delray Beach, FL. I packed bubbles, party confetti poppers, cute pink paper straws, chocolate covered peanuts, and glow sticks which were all items gathered together from boxes my family has sent me over the last few months. As you can see, they were a hit :) You just can’t beat a kind, thoughtful, and fun care package from home.
P.S. The Spiderman sticker on the box is an inside joke I have with my father (I even used Spiderman cups he gave me at the beach this weekend for my adult beverage). I know when there’s a Spiderman somewhere on/in the package, it’s a gift from him :)
What is your favorite delivery to receive? I would add to this list flowers and UberEATS deliveries, but those don’t technically come in a box.
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend, happy Monday!
