I had the best of intentions to blog my whole Christmas vacation! I’ve been taking dozens (more like hundreds) of photos to share with you… but have just not had the time to pull them all together in a post.
You know why? Because I’m at Sea Island in Georgia. It’s basically like a big kids camp crossed with Downton Abbey (not sure if that is the best description, but what I’m trying to say is that it’s heaven!)
Upon arrival to Sea Island I was presented an itinerary by my parents and told I had 15 minutes to put down my stuff and meet them at the River Bar for lunch. Since then my days have been non-stop from 5:30am to 10:30pm.
Skeet shooting, horseback riding, tennis, bike rides, massages (that’s the entry to the spa in the picture above), and food followed by food (and a glass, or three, of wine)!
Don’t get me wrong I love staying busy, especially with these kinds of activities, but that meant blogging took a back seat (and as I contemplated this over a glass of wine in the Colonial Lounge at The Cloister, I decided I was completely fine with it haha).
But don’t worry though, I’ll (sadly) be leaving beautiful Sea Island on Saturday and will immediately get back on the blogging train when I return to DC!
Until then, cheers and Merry Christmas!
