I was supposed to pull myself out of bed early to make it to a cycling class at Equinox, but instead I sipped coffee and caught up on theSkimm (which had a book recommendation this morning, those always suck me in). Oh well, we all deserve a day off, right?
I haven’t done a life lately post in a while, so I figured a lazy Friday morning was the perfect time to lay out some random thoughts.
EATING: Daily Harvest smoothies
Yes, these Daily Harvest smoothies are from those Instagram video ads that always appear in your feed! Now mind you, I didn’t seek these out (since I’m sure they cost an arm and a leg), my wonderful office keeps them stocked in the freezer #perks. They are delicious! The Watermelon + Cucumber smoothie is my go-to in the morning. I mix mine with coconut water, not milk, since it keeps more light and refreshing.
As you know, I’ve been binge reading so many WWII novels lately, so I’m switching it up and am now reading all the thrillers! Right now I’m halfway through Don’t You Cry by Mary Kubica and I’m super intrigued. Review to come soon. Then next is Ruth Ware’s new book, The Lying Game. Fingers crossed it’s as great as her last book, The Woman in Cabin 10.
I guess technically it’s “watched”… the boyfriend and I completed the season in 3 days. I’m not sure if that’s a brag or a cry for help. We received the shameful Netflix “Are you still watching?” message more times than I would like to admit. If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, you’ll love this!
ORDERING: Everything from Amazon
I keep a running list of things that I want but don’t really need in my iPhone notes section. Things such as new noise canceling headphones, a new phone case, a new pair of heels. etc. After a glass (or two) of wine last week I decided that list needed to be shortened and I filled my Amazon cart. The box arrived a few days ago and I’m trilled with the decision :) The noise canceling headphones for my office were actually a necessity now that I think about it since open floor plans are VERY distracting.
PLANNING: My Mallorca trip!
In less than a month I’m flying over to Europe to explore this small island off the coast of Spain. I need swimsuit recommendations, restaurant recommendations, and any other recommendations you have please :)
I’m so happy I’m getting back into tennis! Not only is it a great way to be out in the sunshine and get a workout, it’s also a nice stress reliever. No cell phones or no computers, just a racquet, ball, and court.
(Side note: Details about my staycation at the Boca Raton Resort and Club coming soon!)
What have you been obsessed with lately? Any fun weekend plans?
