I’ve been a busy bee lately! It must be because the weather is finally getting warmer and sunny. I actually want to go outdoors! My life lately has consisted of….
This weekend the roommate and I took a stroll through the Mall to see the cherry blossoms. The day could not have been prettier! Although I live here, the number of pictures I took made me look like a tourist, but I was ok with it :)
Bloodline – It’s not my favorite show (a bit too much intense family drama for me) but the boyfriend loves it! We have one episode left in the season… and we just started it last week.
Oyster shooters – This weekend we headed to a bar to watch the Masters and grab a drink. We ended up at a tasty seafood restaurant called J. Paul’s in Georgetown, and the boyfriend decided we needed to do oyster shooters. I’d never tried one before, and although they looked like fun… they were not so tasty…
Ikea shopping trip – Now that I have renewed my lease for another year, I feel the urge for a little shopping spree to spruce up the place! I’ve been thinking about a new rug, new comforter, and of course the bar cart I’ve had on my wish list since Christmas!
30 day yoga challenge – More on this to come… if I survive the next 19 days that is! My abs are quite sore today.
Portrait of a Spy by Daniel Silva – This has been sitting on my bookshelf for years, so I finally picked it up to begin reading! I’m only about 60 pages in (it’s a long book) but so far it’s living up to my father’s recommendation.
From Good to Great by Scott Brouwer – This book isn’t for fun, it’s for work. One of my clients lives and breaths by it, so in order to understand him and his business strategy a bit better, I figured I should give it a read.
New heels – I was shopping at T.J. Maxx in Georgetown with the boyfriend (not sure how I convinced him to set foot in that store) and I came across these heels I just had to have. For only 50 bucks, I had no option but to purchase them :)
What have you been up to lately?
