Happy (almost) Memorial Day weekend!
A long weekend means 24 extra hours to relax and focus on you.
No 5am alarm clock, battling rush hour, working “lunches”, never ending conference calls, or 11pm work emails.
But how do you unplug so you can recharge, while also staying (slightly) productive??
Keep a list!
While you’re sipping an adult beverage as you play corn hole, or on the boat soaking up the sun (can you get a feel for what my weekend will consist of at my aunt and uncle’s beach house?), and all of a sudden that thought of “oh no, I need to email XX about XX” or “maybe I should ask XX about XX”, just create a note on your phone and add anything that you think of.
Feel confident that you won’t forget about it since it’s been added to the list, and then get back to what you were doing.
I’m making it my mission this weekend just to breathe in the fresh air and do whatever my heart desires. If that means waking up early for a morning run before others are up, great! If is means walking he beach with a cold beer in hand at 3pm, even better :)
I will be armed with my list when I return back to the real world and will feel rejuvenated at the same time so I can hit the ground running again!
I intend to make the most of my 72 hours of vacation.
How will you spend your 72 hours?
