Don’t get me wrong, I love evening dates! I crave a delicious sushi restaurant followed by drinks at a new wine bar (that usually sums up our standard date night).
But sometimes the same old “dinner and drinks date” can get a bit… stale.
Think about all the things only open during daytime hours… museums, parks, brunch spots, outdoor activities. And, of course, helicopter rides!
I was running around Switzerland with my father when my two year anniversary with the boyfriend came around. I brought him back tasty Swiss chocolates to make up for it…
But he put my gift to shame.
We have been living in Miami a few months and only really been able to explore restaurants and bars at night since we just started our new jobs, so he planned the perfect weekend activity to see more.
Day date over Miami in a helicopter!
What better way to see our new home than by air??
We jumped in Miami Helicopter Tours chopper and took off :) It was my first ever helicopter ride, so it was even more exciting! I’m saving you from about 100 giddy selfies I took (#noshame), but I did post this gem on Instagram…
Getting breathtaking views of Miami Beach and all the sun bathers was a once in the life time opportunity that only a perfectly planned day date could bring! We could not have asked for better weather.
Nights out can seriously be overrated. I love day dates because they:
1. Last longer (sunrise to sunset)
2. Give you a chance to soak up some Vitamin D that we don’t usually get in our busy 9-5 lives
3. Allow you to explore new places and things
4. Have better cocktails (ex: mimosa and bloody marys are always better than evening cocktails, ex: vodka soda)
And of course,
5. Still allow for an early bedtime!
I’m thinking our next day date will be a round of golf or maybe a tennis lesson!
Do you like day dates or night dates better? Or both! :)
