I love the simplicity of dinners without cell phones, phone calls with family members instead of texts, and the thoughtfulness of a hand written letter.
Along those same lines, I love wearing a real watch! I think I just have an old soul.
Everyone these days relies on their cell phone as their time piece, but that’s just not for me. I swear I’ve been wearing a watch since I was about 8 years old.
Here are the four reasons you will always see a watch on my arm:
1. I don’t look rude in meetings or at events checking my phone when I’m really just looking at the time.
2. When you don’t have a watch and your phone is dead, or not within reach, you have no idea the time it is.
3. How many times have you picked up your phone to check the time and got caught texting and scrolling Instagram for 15 minutes before you realize what you picked up your phone for? A real watch means you stay focused on the task at hand.
4. I can always answer the question, “what time is it?”. Just think about how many amazing conversations that question has started in history!
Just likes shoes, handbags, and sunglasses, watches are a way to show off your style. Thanks to JORD for sponsoring this post, I have just added this new JORD FRANKIE 35 series Zebrawood & Champagne watch to my collection and it has quickly become my new favorite.
I was torn between this series and the Dark Sandalwood & Emerald, but I think the word “champagne” swayed my vote :)
As you can see, I wear it to brunch…
On coffee runs…
Even to office Halloween parties :)
So the next time someone asks “what time is it?” think twice before digging out your cell phone and realize how nice it would be if you could just lift your arm and know.
I can even get you one step closer to that being possible! Follow this link and enter to win a $75 gift card to JORD! And guess what, even if you aren’t the lucky winner you’ll still receive a $20 gift card just for entering.
With the holidays around the corner it’s perfect timing (pun intended). Don’t forget to check out their men’s line, too!
The 5th perk of wearing a watch? You know exactly when the clock strikes 5pm for happy hour :)
